Ben Blaustein (b.1998, Boston MA) is a New York based artist working in photography, assemblage, and performance. Utilizing the cyanotype process, Blaustein considers the tension between the Jewish tradition and his own contemporary definitions of religion. Intimate scenes of everyday life stand in for representations of divinity as he considers ideas of belonging, rites of passage, and memory and proposes possibilities of secular transcendence.
